PLATFORM FAQ

Answers about Aegis SafeForge workflows, AI assistance, deployment, security, data, and early access.

Platform and workflows

What is Aegis SafeForge?

Aegis SafeForge is an AI-assisted engineering workflow platform for functional safety, cybersecurity, and regulated risk work. It connects project context, source documents, analysis tables, requirements, reviews, approvals, traceability, and evidence in one governed workspace.

Which standards and industries are supported?

Current workflows cover automotive, railway, medical-device, and process-safety use cases, including ISO 26262, ISO/SAE 21434, IEC 62278, IEC 62425, CLC/TS 50701, ISO 14971, IEC 62304, and IEC 61511. Coverage varies by workflow and continues to expand.

Does the platform replace safety or cybersecurity engineers?

No. AI accelerates drafting, retrieval, and structuring. Qualified people remain responsible for reviewing assumptions, changing generated content, approving engineering decisions, and determining compliance.

How does traceability work?

Artifacts can be linked across the engineering chain, including hazards, threats, goals, requirements, controls, claims, and verification evidence. Source grounding, status history, versions, ownership, and review records help teams explain how a decision was reached.

AI and source grounding

What information does the AI use?

Generation can use the active system and project context, selected standards, approved upstream artifacts, structured schemas, and documents made available to the relevant organisation, project, or system scope.

Can users inspect the reasoning and sources?

The platform is designed to expose field-level reasoning, confidence, and source references where available. Users can open supported source documents and navigate to the relevant passage for review.

Are AI outputs automatically approved?

No. Generated records begin in a reviewable state and follow configured review and approval gates. Deterministic validation is used for supported rules, while engineering judgment remains human-owned.

Security, data, and deployment

How is access controlled?

The platform uses authenticated access, organisation and project boundaries, role-based permissions, and protected service-to-service communication. Deployment-specific controls and customer responsibilities are confirmed during onboarding.

Does the browser connect directly to the AI retrieval service?

In production, browser traffic is intended to go through the authenticated backend. The retrieval and generation service is treated as an internal service and protected with service credentials.

Where can the platform be deployed?

Aegis SafeForge supports managed SaaS, region-specific SaaS, private cloud or VPC, and self-hosted deployment models. EU companies can request EU servers for SaaS. Regional availability, data-residency scope, and architecture are confirmed during onboarding.

Is Aegis SafeForge a certification authority?

No. Aegis SafeForge supports engineering workflows and audit preparation. It does not certify products, guarantee compliance, or replace independent assessment where one is required.

Access and support

How can my team evaluate the platform?

Contact the Aegis SafeForge team to discuss your standards, workflow, deployment constraints, and pilot scope. Early-access evaluations are planned around a defined use case and review process.

Can we import existing requirements and documents?

The platform supports document ingestion and structured requirement workflows. Supported formats and migration scope should be confirmed for the specific pilot dataset.
